Keep On Truckin

Had the scan today. Results were ....... Inconclusive.
Excatly what I expected the results to be.
Is anything ever conclusive with this junk?
Never!
They said there is so much "noise" on the CT scan that they cannot tell if there is any improvement. They say the noise is due to the chemo-imbolization proceedure haveing residuial effects still.
But they did say that they think there has not been any drastic growth. So we have either slowed the progression or arrested it or we are making headway, one of those three. The prescription for now is to do another round of pills now and see the Dr. in 3 weeks.
Then we will do blood work tests and probably continue with the 2 weeks on medicine and 1 or 2 weeks off medicine, depending on what my blood levels can handle.
Then do another scan in about August or September. As long as I don't have a bad turn and start feeling very ill.
So really what I have to report today is a 3 month delay in any real news.
Here is a picture of the machine I was on today, need to add some graphics to spiffy up the blog.
Simens Somaton Sensation.
Talk to you later.

Catch Up

Been a while since I've posted an update, sorry.

Here is what is happening now.

Finished the second round of Chemo pills. It was so much easier this time. The difference is unbelievable.

I was still tired all the time, but the sick feeling was just not there on this round.
The Dr. was amazed and essentially said that should not happen. This is not the sort of thing that has such variation from week to week. So nobody knows why it went so easy this time.
I am off the pills now until we do the test to see if there is any progress. I have generally been feeling abut the best I have in 4 months for the last few weeks. I do not know if that means the medicine is working or there is some other difference in my system.

The scan is scheduled for Wednesday the 14th. I meet with my Doc later that same day and should know something. If it seems we are making progress, we will probably continue with the pills. As long as they are as easy as they were the last time I would not mind taking them indefinitely.

I will post the results after our conversation.
Until then, be safe and God bless.

Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes, I am certain that they had something to do with the great performance of the last few weeks.

Bye for now,
Greg
