CT results Feb.

Late posting for the finding on my last CT scan done on Feb 7th.
Late because there is really nothing to tell.
They said that the growth of the tumors is not that substantial of a change from the last time we did a scan in December. This means that we will not have to go to the regular chemotherapy drugs and experience all those side effects.
Bad news is they still do not know when the experimental drug program is going to take place. It has passed one board and has to now pass the second board. They did tell me that the second one is more of an administrative board and the first one is a scientific type of certification.
So the hard one is done we just need to get the pencil pushers to agree to do it and then we can start. I am supposed to go back in a couple weeks and tell them how I am feeling. I will also meet my new oncologist on that visit. Hopefully then they will have better information on the details of the now famous or infamous experimental drug that I am starting to believe is just a fairy tale.
Also every time I get to see them I get banged for another $40 office visit and $118 for blood work done (my portion, not insurance's portion). Somebody has to pay for those country club memberships right? That can't happen if they just use the telephone to tell you when to come in for the experimental study, NOOOO we have to SEE you and do blood work (which always looks exactly the same).
Stay healthy.
Greg

  • Dear Greg,
It's the old lady checking in to tell you again that you are an amazing young man. Sure hope I can have the fighting attitude you have when my time for the "pole vaulting" test comes.

    You are prayed for daily.

    Love and prayers,
    Auntie Phyl

  • Hi Greg,
The "old lady" checking in to let you know that you are thought of affectionately and prayed for daily.

I am finally out of the "lazy girl" chair, after another run-in with the flu bug. I have a permanent indentation in that chair now.

Went to church today and loved praising the Lord in song...loved feeling the breeze against my skin and the sun warming my face while outside.

Hope you are soaking up a few blessings yourself.

  • Hi Greg,
The "old lady" here to tell you that you are on my mind, in my heart and prayers.

God bless you with a comfortable, joy and peace filled day...

I was just outside with my dog, Syd, it is beautiful day. I loved the feel of the breeze in my hair and the sun on my skin. I hope you find the same joy today.

    Love,

    Auntie Phyl 3-22-07
